Governor Tener’s office announced this morning that they had received a telegram late Saturday night that President Wilson would attend the festivities at Gettysburg on July 4th after all. The President had originally agreed to attend but later rescinded his acceptance of the Commission’s invitation to speak on National Day in the Great Tent that has been erected. The festivities for July 4th were subsequently canceled but Governor Tener’s office declared that they have once again scheduled events for that day. The schedule will be released forthright.
Between June 29th and July 4th, 2013 our posts will come to us courtesy of the “blogging time machine” we have secretly and mysteriously sent a century into the past to the site of the Great Reunion at Gettysburg.
