CONFEDERATE GENERALS BYPASS PENNSYLVANIA COLLEGE ACCOMMODATIONS

June 30, 1913 8:00 A.M.

This morning’s Gettysburg Times reported that two Confederate Generals – Felix Robertson of Texas and A.J. West of Atlanta – have bypassed accommodations at Pennsylvania College and will instead sleep on the main encampment grounds in tents of their respective state delegations. This spirit of transcending rank and ceremony has enveloped both Union and Confederate alike thus far with the official ceremonies still one day away.
