BULLETIN: 40,000 VETERANS IN CAMP THIS MORNING

July 1, 1913 8:00 A.M.

Authorities report that between midnight Sunday and the same time yesterday, 53 trains arriving at approximately one every 25 minutes have brought enough veterans to Gettysburg to surpass the 40,000 mark. More arrivals are expected today.

Every train has been met by Army regulars and Boy Scouts who have assisted the veterans from the moment they arrived.
