BULLETIN: STRONG THUNDERSTORM RELIEVES OPPRESSIVE HEAT

July 2, 1913 4:00 P.M.

The strong thunderstorm that swept through the encampment grounds a short while ago has dramatically lowered temperatures, bringing relief to veterans and spectators alike. Tomorrow’s weather is expected to once again be hot but at least the cooling this afternoon will allow some recovery from the days of excessive heat and humidity before being forced to submit once again to the worst of Pennsylvania’s summer extremes.
