Descendants of Confederate Generals Longstreet and Pickett may be found about the encampment grounds, and General Longstreet’s widow Mrs. Helen Dortch Longstreet is also here.

Several of General Meade’s descendants are in attendance as well and are expected to be introduced as part of the Military Day ceremonies this afternoon in the Great Tent.

Between June 29th and July 4th, 2013 our posts will come to us courtesy of the “blogging time machine” we have secretly and mysteriously sent a century into the past to the site of the Great Reunion at Gettysburg.
